Two-Year Anniversary!

“Writing is easy. All you have to do is cross out the wrong words.” ― Mark Twain

Today, October 6, marks 2 years since I started blogging.  This blog is officially a toddler!  What a journey it’s been.  I had no idea I would continue on this long.  I didn’t know who, besides my family and good friends, would want to read anything I wrote.  I wasn’t even completely sold on the idea of writing at all.  I mean, I *wanted* to do it.  At least, I thought so.  But you can’t truly know what lies ahead until you get down the road a piece.

“Long patience and application saturated with your heart’s blood—you will either write or you will not—and the only way to find out whether you will or not is to try.”
—Jim Tully, WD

I want to say thank you.  Thanks to Jesus for His enduring faithfulness.  Thanks to my husband for giving me the time and encouraging me to keep on.  Thanks to you for reading.  Thanks for commenting – or not! – as you’ve been led.  Thanks for the blog ideas and the counsel about subjects better left alone.  Thanks for believing in me when all I wanted to do was walk away.  Every time I’ve seriously considered giving up, new readers subscribe.  The fire got re-stoked.  The passion burned anew.

“For your born writer, nothing is so healing as the realization that he has come upon the right word.”
—Catherine Drinker Bowen

As of now, you’ve generated well over 28,000 views.  Over 150 of you wonderfully kind people get email or RSS feeds every time I post something.  Around 390 allow me to show up on your Facebook feed, affording the opportunity (should you choose to accept it) to read my latest thoughts on a subject or situation.

Thank you for letting me into your lives.  It’s an honor and a privilege.  I will continue to keep writing.  I hope you will continue to keep reading.  Don’t be a stranger.

“We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.”
—Ernest Hemingway
